Read a current events article of your choosing that relates to the topic at hand of the following articles and write at least a 2 paragraph essay including a summary paragraph and reaction paragraph. Summary: be sure to introduce the article (date and author) and include enough detail to communicate what the article is about. Ask yourself, "would someone who did not read the article know exactly what the article was about after reading my summary?" Reaction: describe what you think of this news, including questions you have, possible implications you can think of, whether this affects you personally or could affect anyone in any way, explaining why/why not. Include predictions based on article content and discuss the content's significance/importance. Think big picture!
